Pinterest Challenge #4: Drawer Organizers

I'm running a bit behind on my Pinterest Challenge posts... the goal was to pick 6 pins and actually complete them in 6 weeks.  I'm on Pin number 4 and I'm pretty sure it's been about 8 weeks but at least I'm still working on it?!

This pin was drawer organizers made out of reused cardboard boxes which I found here.  They were actually harder than I thought. but they turned out pretty cute!

I would recommend using wrapping paper rather than scrapbook paper for anyone who wants to try this though.  The scrapbook paper didn't bend as easily as I would have liked it to and was super difficult to line up properly ( I'm a bit of a perfectionist.) BUT they still turned out extra cute!

Now I just need to make a few more because apparently I underestimated the amount of "stuff" in my desk drawer!

Reuse: Beer Bottles

So, if theres one thing college students have no shortage of it's leftover beer bottles.  Rather than throwing them away, I decided to reuse them.

We all know I have an obsession with glitter so... Glitter + beer bottles = adorable vases

I used painters tape to tape off where I didn't want the glitter.  Then I used mod podge and sprinkled glitter on top of it.  I reused the exces glitter by rolling the bottles in it to get any of the spots I missed.  ( The first two on the left were a wine-fueled experiment... ignore the uneven-ness.)

What have you reused recently?

The "Story of Stuff"

My Ethics professor is constantly challenging the way we think about things and presenting us with  controversial and affective information.  The other day, in referance to corporations and consumption, he showed us this video.

This video made me question every choice I've made up to this point including my major, my spending habits, and my future career.  I definitely encourage you to watch the whole thing.  It drastically impacted my view on life and how how I'll be making decisions from this point forward.

Did the video have as much of an impact on your way of thinking as it did on mine?
